World news: Equinor gets permission to drill exploration well in the North Sea

Drilling of the well is scheduled for April 2023.
The Norwegian Petroleum Directorate (NPD) granted Equinor permission to drill exploration well 30/6-C-2 A. The 053-production license was issued on April 6, 1979 and is valid until March 1, 2031. The drilling period is April 2023.
Drilling operations will be carried out from the Oseberg C offshore platform.
The Oseberg field is in the North Sea, 140 km northwest of Bergen on the southwest coast of Norway.
